rhinoms Superleague XVI Previews - Round 15
Posted by Number 2 on May 26 2011 - 17:29:33

Round 15 on the road to Old Trafford and after a week of Micky Mouse action is back to the real business ahead.

It should be another cracking weekend.

Read more here....

As we enter the 2nd half of the season here are my thoughts on this weeks fixtures.

RHINOS V WOLVES

The game of the round takes place at HQ as TS returns with his table topping side.

Another long term injury victim was claimed from the Rhinos ranks this week in the form of stalwart and battle-axe keith Senior but the flip side is the possible return of Mcguire and Webb.

The visitors really are the form team and are scoring tries for fun but against teams like Swinton and the "found out" Wrong Turn cast it's hard to gauge how strong their bite really is.

The hosts will need to improve on their cup form and a return to their grinding efforts against the Dragons will be the order of the day and defensively a "none shall pass" attitude.

A real humdinger in store here and the chance to show we are real contenders and withstand the bark of the Wire.

SAINTS V CRUSADERS

A complete mis-match this week in Widnes as the scouse squaters welcome back up to 5 off their injured list just in time to demolish the plastic Welsh outfit.

A spirited effort by Harris' boyos but once again not good enough despite a morale boosting win against Wakey last time out.

The lardy KFC kid and his big fat Gypsy wedding mates will be far too strong this week.

BULLS V CITY REDS

This week the Pot-hole pub team actually have a spirited performance to build on afte their cup exploits and Raynors ban for showing Rat Boy how "Night Night" Fielden likes to get his head down was a highlight.

This week the unpredictable Reds are the visitors and the hosts will remember the good hiding they received at the Willows so should be fired up and in confident mood.

Every now and again the Dulls produce a reasonable efort in the face of big odds then follow it up with the efforts of a soggy kit-kat and this week they revert to that standard as the Reds prove too strong.

TIGERS v QUINS

The Wagon train stays home this week and they welcome the free-falling expansion club from darn sarf!

After grinding out a lucky cup win in the "Blazing Saddles" derby last time out the hosts will be confident and the banjoes will be ready to be plucked.

The visitors looked much improved in the cup against a flat opposition but were still way short of what is required and more evidence their early season form was a flash in their jellied eel pan.

Another pointless trip back down the M1 and the hoe down gets the whole bank holiday to flow.

FC v GIANTS

Another huge fixture in cods-vile as Sponge-bob and his reef mob welcome the joint top team in SL.

Both teams are in fine form and for the hosts it's a chance to mussel up and show their sole in the race for a top 8 finish.

The visitors arrive looking to establish outright top for themselves and maintain their fine form.

Coach Brown will have his team fired up and if he isn't more concerned with whinging about his angels getting tackled or his enforcer getting slapped they should have too much for birds eye and co.

WILDCATS V DRAGONS

After cup heartbreak the task doesn't get easier for JK and his unloved team.

This week the re-invented Dragons are in town and they come with a new attitude and good SL form.

This is a real tough test for the Puddy cats and they looked very drained after extra time last week and this could get ugly for them.

I expect a Dragons win but as ever the hosts will show the heart of a Lion in defeat.

WARRIORS V KR

The Pie-dome hosts the Red half of Cods-ville this week but they arrive finally without their "flop" and the blue pills are a thing of the past.

The hosts will hope Rat-Boy has woken up after his "Goodnight sweet-heart" encounter with "Ink" Raynor last time out.

The pressure may begin to tell on coach Morgan as the Mullets don't look convincing in their top 8 efforts and the host will have too much gravy at home this week.

A convincing home win in store and maybe the Red half of cods-ville will begin to search for a new head "Shark".
